Akshar Pathology Laboratory offers three main health packages — Silver, Gold and Platinum — plus Gold variants with HbA1c or PSA and three condition-specific profiles. This post compares exactly which tests are in each Akshar package and what each one costs, so you can see what you gain by moving up a tier. If you want general advice on how often to get a preventive checkup and what to look for at different ages, read our preventive health checkup guide first.
Silver Health Package: The 8-Test Baseline (₹1,200)
The Silver package covers eight tests: CBC with peripheral smear, random blood sugar (RBS), serum creatinine, SGPT, a full lipid profile, TSH, electrolytes (sodium, potassium and calcium) and a routine urine examination. That gives a first look at blood counts, sugar, cholesterol, thyroid, and one kidney and one liver marker.
The tests are worth ₹2,650 if booked separately, and the package price is ₹1,200. It suits young adults with no symptoms who want a yearly baseline.
Gold Health Package: Silver Plus Vitamin B12 and D3 (₹2,200)
Gold includes all eight Silver tests and adds vitamin B12 and vitamin D3, bringing it to ten tests (₹4,650 if booked separately). Both deficiencies are common and easy to miss, since they show up as vague fatigue, body pain or tingling; our guides to vitamin D deficiency and vitamin B12 deficiency explain the symptoms.
Gold also comes in three variants for people who want one targeted test added:
- Gold-HbA1c (₹2,500): adds HbA1c for a three-month average of blood sugar.
- Gold-PSA (₹2,500): adds a PSA test for prostate screening, usually relevant for men over 50.
- Gold-PSA-HbA1c (₹2,800): adds both.
Platinum-Male and Platinum-Female: The 23-Test Full Panel (₹5,000)
Platinum is the most complete package, with 23 tests worth ₹9,700 if booked separately. It adds full kidney and liver panels (urea, uric acid, SGOT, bilirubin, total protein, albumin, alkaline phosphatase and phosphorus), a full thyroid panel (T3, T4 and TSH), HbA1c, serum iron, urine microalbumin, and infection screening for HIV, hepatitis B (HBsAg) and hepatitis C (HCV), on top of the Gold tests.
The only difference between the two versions is the last test: Platinum-Male includes PSA, and Platinum-Female includes ferritin, which checks iron stores. Our KFT vs LFT guide explains what the extra kidney and liver markers show.

When to Move Up from Silver to Gold or Platinum
Choose Gold over Silver if you feel tired often, get little sun, eat a vegetarian diet, or have tingling or body aches, since those point towards vitamin B12 or D3 deficiency. Choose a Gold variant if you only need one extra test: HbA1c if your sugar has been borderline, or PSA if you are a man over 50.
Choose Platinum if you need the full kidney and liver panels (for example, if you take long-term medication, have diabetes or blood pressure, or drink regularly), want infection screening, or want iron status checked. When a Condition-Specific Profile Makes More Sense
If you are monitoring a known condition, a focused profile is often more useful and cheaper than Platinum:
- Diabetic Profile (₹2,100): HbA1c, insulin, RBS, lipid profile, creatinine, SGPT, electrolytes, TSH, urine routine and urine microalbumin, to track sugar control and early kidney effects.
- Arthritic Profile (₹1,800): RA factor, anti-CCP, CRP, uric acid, calcium, CBC, creatinine, SGPT, SGOT and HIV/HBsAg, for unexplained joint pain.
- Anaemia Profile (₹2,500): CBC, iron, TIBC, transferrin saturation, ferritin, vitamin B12, Hb electrophoresis and HIV/HBsAg/HCV, for ongoing fatigue or low hemoglobin.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Gold and Platinum packages?
Gold has 10 tests: the Silver panel plus vitamin B12 and D3. Platinum has 23 tests and adds full kidney and liver panels, T3 and T4, HbA1c, iron, urine microalbumin and HIV/hepatitis screening, plus PSA or ferritin.
Does the Silver package include kidney and liver tests?
It includes one kidney marker (creatinine, plus electrolytes) and one liver marker (SGPT). The complete kidney and liver function panels are only in the Platinum packages.
What is the difference between Platinum-Male and Platinum-Female?
They share 22 tests. Platinum-Male adds PSA for prostate screening, and Platinum-Female adds ferritin to check iron stores.
Can I add HbA1c or PSA without buying Platinum?
Yes. The Gold-HbA1c (₹2,500), Gold-PSA (₹2,500) and Gold-PSA-HbA1c (₹2,800) variants add these tests to the Gold package.
Do I need to fast before a Silver, Gold or Platinum package?
All three include a lipid profile, so an overnight fast of about 10–12 hours is usually advised. Water is fine. The lab will confirm preparation when you book.
Is home sample collection available for these packages?
Yes, Akshar Pathology Laboratory offers home sample collection for its packages across Mehsana, as well as walk-in testing at its branches.
